Clothed with Grace: Christmas Time

Christmas Time

Today I thought I'd share a bit about what our Christmas Eve and Christmas Day was like.  We ended up hosting both, luckily we don't have huge families.  Our Christmas Eve day started with early morning snuggles and this proud brother.  Grant has been so good with Hannah! The upside to hosting was he was able to get a lot of attention from a lot of different people. I was a bit worried about how he'd transition, but it's been great!

My sister and her husband came in the morning and she and Grant made cookies-yum!

At one point in the day the doorbell rang and I got a package from thredUp (use this link) to get $20 off your first purchase.  I was really excited for this Oiliy diaper bag!  I has one, but really wasn't crazy about it, so when this one showed on thredUp I used my credits on it quickly.  I also adore these New Balance shoes! I think they'll be perfect for all the casual outfits I'll be wearing while on maternity leave.

My parents came a bit later, and we spent the rest of the day opening presents, eating, and enjoying each other's company.  Grant was pretty excited for his presents.  He's been wanting a Zombie Strike dart gun, and Grandma came through! He can also mix and match with his other dart guns, and the kid is in hog heaven!

He also got $5 from his Grandma and you'd have thought he won the lottery!

Hannah was passed around a lot, but especially loved sleeping in Grandma's arms : )

The next morning Brian, Grant and I opened presents. I got bag from Better Life Bags as my big present. I got to work with this earlier this fall and got this cross body bag.  I love it and it's great for weekend use, but I have too much stuff to use it everyday, so I have had my eye on getting a bigger one, and I adore this one!

I also got a Citizen watch from Brian as a surprise.  It was originally $400 and he was able to get it on sale for $130- or so he thought- then he went to buy it and it rang up for $30! If you know my husband, you'll appreciate that he wanted to surprise me with a new watch-which I love, by the way. He also happens to be the king of "deals" so I love that he was going to pay $130, but it's even better that it ended up being such a steal!

Grant got a new bike from Santa. He was totally surprised and I had been pretty happy we didn't have snow, as I knew he'd want to ride it right away....well what do you know, we got 8 inches on Christmas Eve day.  Luckily the walk ways were cleared, but it was pretty cold for a bike ride!

Once we got back from a bike ride it was time for some more snuggles.  This two kids have my heart!

Overall Christmas was a wonderful time, and Hannah agrees too!
