Radiant Orchid with Oakleigh Rose

I officially own my first piece of clothing in radiant orchid thanks to Oakleigh Rose. I am just crazy abut this maxi dress they sent over.  Maxis are quickly becoming my favorite piece of clothing and this one not only feels like it's pajamas in disguise, it also has pockets!  The length and cut is perfect and I'm so excited to add this to my wardrobe!

Insta-Outfits

Today I thought I'd show you some of my favorite Instagram outfits from this last month.  I love how bright colors have taken over my feed!

Stripes and Denim

I recently wore this for a double date with some great friends.  Our daycare is part of a church and about once a month the youth group will host a play night for the kids to come and eat pizza, play games, etc while the parents can leave for a much needed date night.  Grant always has fun with his BFF Quentin, and it's so nice for us to have time for uninterrupted conversations with friends.  This night we went for Chinese, then over to our friends house for dessert.  It was delightful.  

Oh, and this outfit: I adore it.  The dress is cotton (last year Target) but really feels like pajamas and these shoes were a splurge at J.Crew almost a decade ago.  I love them.

Chevron Love

There are certain things that are just adorable, say a baby polar bear, this napping duo, these cats, and of course this chevron dress that White Plum sent over.  I love everything about it! It also comes in a bunch of fun colors.  I decided to pair it with a simple cardigan and my new necklace from Edith Marie Jewelry for a fun pop of color.

White plum has so many great pieces, I'm also crazy about their selection of maxi dresses, I love the Montauk, Butterfly Tulip, and Wine Country maxi dresses.  It's definitely a shop worth checking out!

May Budget

I'm linking up with Budgeting Bloggers today. This month I got a number of things, but really only spent $15 on my maxi skirt and $16 on a tee and pants from Old Navy.  The rest of the items were gifts or c/o.  I feel like I go awhile into a new season before buying things, I don't feel like I really know what  I need until I start wearing everything. Now that school is out I'm excited to wear shorts on a daily basis and fun sun dresses too; it's once I start wearing them I see wear the holes are in my closet to fill.

Pretty Pastels

Happy Monday!! I hope you enjoyed your weekend, and are back at it this morning preparing for next weekend! I live for weekends(: I am Susan from the Charming Lucy blog and this week I am partnering with my good friend Ginny of My New Favorite Outfit! We sort of like working together(: We put together two ways to style pastel florals for summer, and today it is my turn to share! I found this beautiful blouse at Maurices, and paired it with a mint cardigan and white denim for a casual look. These two pieces are perfect to take on vacation, as you can wear the floral blouse alone for daytime, and throw on the cardigan for a night out or a walk on the beach. This blouse could easily be paired with white shorts or a pencil skirt as well.

I paired a mint floral scarf with a simple white tee and black pants for a look I can wear to work. I have created a collage of a few of my favorite floral pastel pieces for the sunny summer season.
