I was recently reading in Daniel 9 about God's perfect timing. Basically Daniel is praying for his nation and for them to repent against the sins they've committed. It had been nearly 70 years of them being out of sink with God and Daniel reads in Jeremiah 29:10 that the end of this separation is coming.
Daniel is obviously excited and can't want for the nation to be back in line with God. But, man 70 years is a long time! Sometime we can feel like the bad times will never come to an end, but do you know what verse is after Jeremiah 29:10? It's one of my favorites, Jerimiah 29:11 says "For I know the plans I have for your, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not calamity to give you a future and hope."
In the midst of this seventy years of trial, God did have a plan, a great one, but in His time, not Daniel's. That can be really difficult when we just want the good times to come. However, it's in the valleys of life where we learn, and we're pushed to keep going....even when it's tough. The valleys also make us appreciate the mountain top even more too.
If you're in a valley right now, know that it's only for a season, not for good. It's important to cling to God in the midst of the hard times and remember, He hasn't forgotten you, he does have a plan.
Today I'm wearing another one of my sheath dresses that is non-maternity and a blazer I've had for a few years. Over the summer I missed getting to dress up like this, so it's nice that I can now that school is back in session. I've also been wearing mostly pendant and delicate necklaces, but I love getting to pull out my statement necklaces with outfits like this too. This Stella and Dot one is a favorite of mine, it's no longer available, but I love this one.

When you're going thru hard times it's hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel but we need to remember that those are the times when we are closest to God because we're helpless without Him and that's a good place to be. Thanks for sharing this, Ginny. That green blazer totally brightens up this outfit and what a pretty necklace!
