Clothed with Grace: Leopard and Stripes

Leopard and Stripes

I had a crazy realization this past weekend, I only have like a month of school left!  As excited as I am for a break, it means two and a half months of me wearing basically shorts and flip-flops.  I'm not complaining, I promise, I just hate having to pass on wearing the dressy pieces I have in my closet during the summer.  Sunday will pretty much be the only day I dress up, so I really need to get in some dressy outfits I've been planning in before school gets out.  I'm crazy about today's outfit and can't believe I haven't worn the combo before!  I considered wearing my denim jacket with it, but decided on the blazer instead, denim will be next time. : )

  1. It's crazy that the year is almost done! It's still pretty chilly here, so I'm hoping it warms up enough to get some wear out of my skirts and dresses in the next month! I love this combination. I wouldn't have thought to put it together either, but it looks fantastic!

  2. You had me at the title Ginny. Stripes+Leopard are always perfect. Each piece you are wearing is beautiful too, especially the blazer & necklace. Good for you for deciding to dress up before summer break.

  4. I am so excited for summer too! I love having my daughter home!! I also wear cut offs or a cover up all summer. I think I will participate in a style challenge in June so I can avoid the summer clothing slump. I love this pattern combo!! Susan

  5. I know how you feel, I hate not having a reason to get dressed up, and therefore will just wear my pencil skirts and blazers for the hell of it, because I miss them. I love this mixed print combo, and good luck getting in all your outfits this month!

  7. Stripes and leopard are so cute together! Maybe you can style some of your dressier pieces more casually so you can still wear them?

  9. My first thought was that I would be excited to wear shorts all the time, but then I do think I'd miss all my fancier clothes. Hopefully summer will be nice this year! We should grab lunch again sometime! :-)

  11. I think the denim jacket will give this look a nice dressed down feel, but I love that you paired it with the blazer first. These prints surprisingly compliment each other.

  14. Leopard and stripes is one of my favorite ways to pattern-mix! You look so pretty and elegant in this outfit.
I have to admit that I am having similar feelings about summertime outfits--I have 50 days until I finish my internship, so I plan on making the most out of my dressier pieces until then. After that, it's just bright shorts and sandals for the rest of the summer.
