What to Expect

I remember when I was pregnant with Grant, I had so many questions. I asked Moms, I called my doctor's office way more than was probably appropriate, and the unknowns were just constantly spinning in my head. Then, I had a dear friend give me What to Expect When You're Expecting and I let out a giant sigh of relief. This long-running book on the best seller list is recommended by doctors and moms alike, and it helped answer a lot of questions I had about what was going on with my body as well as how the baby was developing.

Now, that I'm pregnant for a second time, you'd think I'd have it all together, but I totally don't. I still have questions and so does Grant. "How big is the baby now, Mommy???" Thanks to What to Expect When You're Expecting, which has each month of your pregnancy neatly organized, it's easy for me to answer that question.

Exercise is also something I want to stay on top of while pregnant and What to Expect When You're Expecting even shares different exercise tips to help me stay healthy too, which is great for the baby and will make my delivery much easier too.

I also got a copy of What to Expect, Eating Well, When You're Expecting. One of the first things I did once I found out I was pregnant was try and search for a list of foods I should steer clear of on the Internet.  I had a hard time finding a reliable source and some people differ on what's ok and what's not, so I was really excited to receive this book.

It's divided into two parts: the first clearly shares what you can and can't eat, as well as gives lots of substitutions to keep you healthy if certain foods aren't agreeing with you, and the second part is packed full of healthy recipes. Hello, that's awesome!

Being pregnant is so exciting, but growing a human is hard work! What to Expect When You're Expecting and the What to Expect, Eating Well, When You're Expecting books really help make this time easier.

Once my little one is here, I'll also be able to keep having my questions answered with What to Expect, the First Year. I remember asking Moms when their kids slept through the night, got their first tooth, ate their first cereal, etc. and I got a lot of "Oh, I don't remembers." As I first time mom I totally didn't get this, how could they not know? Now, I get it, there are so many firsts, there's no way our brains can remember everything. Thanks to What to Expect, the First Year "Mommy Brain" won't get the best of me, it clearly lays out each month of a babies life and helps give tips on when all those firsts could happen, and when to do when a new unknown situation arises with your baby.

If you're a new or expectant Mom, I'd highly recommend getting your hands on any of the What to Expect  books, being a mom is hard work and having answers to all your questions is so much easier with the help of these books!
