Clothed with Grace: Nesting

Nesting

Honestly, clothes have have been about the furthest thing from my mind lately. I have been in serious nesting mode! I still get dressed everyday, I promise, but a lot of my outfits are similar to this one: All black with a colored layer has seriously been my jam lately....that and I have about four shirts that fit....

My first stop with my recent nesting was to go to Hobby Lobby to get some flannel for new burp clothes. I told myself I'd just use Grant's for Hannah, but when I pulled them out they looked old and gross.  $3 and forty-five minutes later I had eight burp clothes ready to go.

My next mission was a bow holder for Hannah. I was on Etsy, but everything was pretty much $30 and above, then another $10 for shipping. No, thank you.  While at Hobby Lobby I found this collage picture frame for $10, then got little screw in hooks for a dollar, and voila I have a pretty sweet bold holder she can use for years to come.

Now that Hannah's room is pretty much set up, I've been left thinking about the old and end we need, since we didn't register or have a big shower like we did with Grant.  I ran to Target for a few essentials, like bags for milk, clippers, bags for dirty diapers, and a bottle cleaner.

I also needed to get new nursing camisoles, as my old one's are gross, and thought I'd check out Big Wheels to Butterflies.  I ended up finding a few camisole's for $4 each, as well as a new (to me diaper bag) for $6, a taggie blanket for $4 and some baby legs and shoes for $1 each.  I'm very thankful for places that offer gently used items. The same taggie blanket is currently $10 at Target and there's no way I got get the other things in normal stores or anywhere near these prices!

Grant is also getting ready for Hannah. I've had this Cabbage Patch kid, which Grant has played with off and on for years, but now we are playing house all the time. He has named her "Hannah" and is changing diapers, having her nap, bathe, wear the real Hannah's clothes.  He's so excited to be a big brother!

I didn't assume we'd have a shower, but my friends threw me a sprinkle about a week ago. Like I said above, we didn't register, so it was a bunch of fun surprises! How cute are these decorations too! I've going to save them to use for her 1st birthday too. : )

We have about five more weeks to go, and I am so excited!

  4. Nesting was the first thing on my month too, once I was 7+months along. That sprinkle shower came out so cute. I love the beautiful ribbons and bows for Hannah and their display on chevron. Vivian has a similar bow/ribbon display. Grant seems like he loves his sister's cute doll, too. He is so cute.
