Summer Break

I can not even begin to tell you have great summer break is! After my last day I let out huge sigh of relief. Although I enjoy teaching, I'd much rather be at home with the kids.

Although my kids are early risers, it's so nice to be able to sit around in our jammies in the morning, instead of having to go, go, go. We're trying to get out of the house for an activity at least once during the day, which is going well. We have a zoo pass, our local library has a great summer reading program, and we have a couple great parks close by. Between those things, we can have some great fun for free.

I think it'll take a bit for us to get into a consistent routine. I want to go to the gym a few times a week and I'm working on spending some time each day during one of Hannah's nap working on reading and math with Grant. Grant has Vacation Bible School in the morning this week, then next week we're going on family vacation, which will be fun. Overall I am sooo happy to be home and just wear my "mom" and "wife" hat for awhile.

This is pretty much what most of my outfits look like these days, and easy top and shorts with sandals. I'd been on the look out for an affordable pair of leather sandals to replace my current pair which I'd wore out. Luckily DSW sent me a $20 off $49 coupon and I also had a $5 birthday coupon, so I scored these for $30 with shipping. The quality is great and I love that they are leather too!
