We've been keeping busy at our house! Here's a look at our last week or so. : )
We got our Christmas cards back and I love them! I'm beginning to wonder if sending cards is a dying trend. We still send them, obviously, but we are not getting nearly as many as we used to.
I thought it would be fun to get a picture of the kids in front of the tree, that went over well, Hannah thought she needed a Santa hat too. Nice try, Sister....
Scrapbooking is one of my favorite things to do and I had a change to get caught up. I usually try to send a few hours each month. My pages are not near as detailed as they used to be, but I do love keep a scrapbook to remember all the moments.
We had a pretty good run with Christmas present and birthday presents being left alone by Hannah, well that time has come and gone. Hannah removed the tissue paper pretty much nightly and has been pulling things from the bags. Whomp, whomp. Good thing she's cute!
Hannah has started to walk! It is kind of the best thing. I had a super long day and reheated coffee, not sure if I'd actually be able to drink it while it was hot, but Hannah was pretty happy teetering around the room while babbling to herself. She is so proud and we are so proud of her too!
A student made me an emoji of myself in digital art class. It's pretty amazing! #sofancy
I love to get pictures of the kids before we head to church, I love seeing them in their Sunday best!
Each year I do a compliment activity with the kids where we pass cards around the room with our names on them. The kids give a compliment to each of their classmates, and end up getting a card back with compliments about them too. It is kind of the best!
We went and saw Santa over the weekend. Hannah was fine for about ten seconds, then started bawling. Good thing the photographer was quick on her feet.....although the bawling picture probably would have added some good laughs down the road....
Lastly, here's a picture of my clean living room. This lasted for less than five minutes. Sigh.....
I agree....I sent out 55 cards and only have received a few....I hope this isn't a trend. :( I love to see the pics and hear from friends and family near and far.
ReplyDeleteI love reading this update! I feel the same about cards this year... I've not gotten very many but sent out what feels like a ton!
ReplyDeleteWe're in the same Christmas card camp. We sent ours out, I think 50, and have only gotten two.
