Whelp, back to school today. Whomp, whomp. Break has been great, I've had some time to myself and some great time with family too. Today is a workday and I have grades to finalize and lesson plans to write.
As for my outfit, I'm going to come out and say it, sometimes layering a shirt under a sweater is just too much work. Seriously. Getting the arms and collar just right is the last thing I want to do when I'm already tired in the morning, and having to get up early for the first time in weeks. So, today I am keeping it simple with this red vest and my Stella and Dot necklace, and that's ok. I love the overall ease of this, and it's perfect for looking put together and cozy at the same time.

Oh my I totally agree! I always feel a little constricted too. Love the stripes!! I'm a new reader. Have a great first week back! (My hubs teaches high school physics so he is back too.)

This look is great! We're back on Monday, BOO! :(
ReplyDeleteLove this outfit Ginny. I totally know what you mean about it being too much work about layering a shirt under a sweater. I also wanted to comment on your Fair Isle sweater. I bought one from Banana Republic and I love it!!!!!!!! Love yours!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!!!!!

I have to agree, I have NO idea how you wear button ups under shirts all the time! I love the way it looks, but man it is just too uncomfortable for me! That shirt is the absolute perfect striped shirt and I really love the way the colors of the necklace pop with the red vest :)

Great vest! I love it with the striped shirt and your necklace colors compliment it all! We have to go back on Monday (although they are predicting -40 temps so we shall see).
ReplyDeleteThat necklace is so fun with red!
ReplyDeleteWhat a classy and simple outfit. :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat color combo, digging the arm party too! Love me some gold jewelery!
ReplyDeleteYes, sometimes simple is best! Layering does take a lot of adjusting, not just when you put it on but I often find myself pulling and adjusting as the day goes on. Yesterday was our first day back from break, but then we had a snow day today!
ReplyDeleteI have a hard time with collared shirts under sweaters too. Love the vest!
ReplyDeleteHa, I thought I was the only one who had problems getting my collar just right!

Simple but Adorable. I love the Vest with the Striped Boat Tee. You acquired another great Vest in your large collection of Vests. And that Necklace pops. I am also loving all that snow, by the way. =)
ReplyDeleteLove this look!
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with you on the shirt + sweater deal--I just attempted it today, but it turned out to be too much work, so I abandoned that look. Ha!
You seriously have the best vest collection (and they are all great deals at that)!! I am still searching for a perfect faux fur vest! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat great Winter fashion!! Love Lady Vera flats! So great to have affordable fashionable shoes...
